The Oakland Raiders fell to 3-10 on the season with Thursday night's 26-13 loss to the Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos.
While his stats didn't end up looking so terrible?completing 19-of-30 passes for 273 yards, two touchdowns and one interception?disapproval of Carson Palmer is starting to pick up steam.
With virtually no running game to lean on, Palmer is actually putting together a respectable season. But the NFL has taught us that no matter how good or bad a situation is, the quarterback either receives all the praise or shoulders most of the blame as it relates to his team's performance.
The Raiders are currently in the midst of a bad situation.
Here is some of that criticism shown on Twitter throughout the game on Thursday night.
?
?
The Raiders gave up their first-round pick in 2012 and a second-round pick in 2013 (since Oakland failed to reach the AFC title game in either year) to the Bengals for Palmer's services.
Oakland's head coach at the time was Hue Jackson, who is now Cincinnati's secondary and assistant special teams coach.
?
?
Palmer is obviously the scapegoat in Oakland, no matter how bad the other phases of the game look.
?
Though Palmer's overall performance this season has been solid, he is a statue when forced to move around or escape the pocket.
?
While this doesn't tell the whole story on Palmer, the Raiders are sure to make changes in advance of next season. Is the veteran quarterback part of the rebuild in Oakland?
