NBA referee Scott Foster apologized to Portland Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan for missing a call last month, according to Blazers radio play-by-play announcer Brian Wheeler.
"Nate told me (Sunday) Scott Foster apologized to him before the game last night, and said he felt terrible for his bad goaltending call vs. OKC," Wheeler reported via his Twitter account.
The incident centers around a game Feb. 6, in which Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge blocked Kevin Durant's shot with 6 seconds left in the fourth quarter and the Blazers leading 103-101. Oklahoma City won the game in overtime.
Afterward, McMillan said he "thought it was a good block. The game should have been over."
The NBA released a statement that week admitting Foster missed the call.
"Nate also said Foster appreciated the way the Blazers' organization handled the situation, saying they could have made it worse 4 him," Wheeler tweeted.
